Halloween Photoshoots: It’s Time to Get Creative

Halloween will be here before you know it, so if you’ve been dreaming about a Halloween photo shoot, now is the time to book!

And when I say Halloween photos, I mean whatever your imagination comes up with.

Want a romantic fairytale? Let’s create it. Want to dress up like Spider-Man and take over downtown? I’m absolutely down. Want something darker and more horrific in the woods with a little fake blood? Even better.

The “ghost” trend is still incredibly popular too—especially with families who want something fun, simple, and a little spooky without going full horror. I also love seeing creative group ideas like a superhero theme, or even full family character concepts like The Addams Family set in a moody graveyard scene.

Your costume should reflect you and the things you love.

As a longtime photographer and a serious cosplayer myself, I understand the excitement of creating a character, building a costume, and bringing an idea to life. Halloween is the perfect excuse to get creative and make photographs that are completely different from your everyday portraits.

You don't have to be a cosplayer, either. Bring your kids, your partner, your best friend—or just yourself.

Have a wild Halloween idea? I want to hear it. Let’s make it a photograph.
